Research Project (Updated in 2022)

2020 Achievements:

    1.Indigenous Native Languages Learning Center

        In execution of the Indigenous Native Languages Learning Center Program, the 7 universities and the number of applicants for this year’s grants are as follows:

        (1)National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU): 98 students in credit classes and 236 students in study classes, totally 334 students.

        (2)National Tsing Hua University: 39 students in credit classes and 57 students in study classes, totally 96 students.

        (3)National Taichung University of Education: 49 students in credit classes and 166 students in study classes, totally 215 students.

        (4)National Chi Nan International University: 34 students in credit classes and 83 students in study classes, totally 117 students.

        (5)National Pingtung University: 130 students in credit classes and 108 students in study classes, totally 238 students.

        (6)National Dong Hwa University: 44 students in credit classes and 60 students in study classes, totally 104 students

        (7)National Taitung University: 115 students in credit classes and 86 students in study classes, totally 201 students.

        The total number of students across the seven study centers are, 447 in credit classes and 858 in study classes, totally 1,305 students.

    2.Indigenous Native Language Professionals Training Workshop

       Handle training workshops for professionals in indigenous languages. The courses and areas of this workshop are:

        (1)Question Design Skill Class (North, South, and East Regions).

        (2)Indigenous Language Dubbing Class (Eastern Region).

        (3)Corpus Collection Class (North Region)

        (4)Indigenous language teaching and multimedia application class (South Region).

        A total of 6 classes have been held in the North, South, and East, expected to be completed by April 2021, with an estimated number of 150 participants to be trained.

 

2021 Achievements

    1.Native Language Professional Training Workshop

        In 2021, we have conducted the Indigenous Native Language Professionals Training Workshop.  The contents include:

        (1)Basic Introduction to Interpretation.

        (2) Visual interpretation and text analysis.

        (3)Consecutive interpretation.

        (4)Simultaneous interpretation.

        (5)Cultural translation.

        (6)Practical exercises, etc.

        The 48-hour courses have been delivered in three districts: the North district , the East district, and the Southeast district, with 30 trainees in each district, totally 90 trainees and 144 training hours across the three districts.
