Purpose of the Establishment of the Foundation

The research and development of Indigenous languages involve professional academic fields such as linguistics, pedagogy, testing and statistics which require highly specialized professionalisms, and the implementation thereof is beyond the capability of the central authorities.  Thus, the “Indigenous Languages Research and Development Foundation,” is established dedicated for execution thereof.

Article 27
The central competent authority shall designate budgeting and accept donations from private, legal persons or groups to establish the Foundation for Research and Development of Indigenous Languages for the purpose of administering research and development in indigenous languages.

To research and develop Indigenous languages, this ordinance was established in accordance with the provisions of Article 27 of the Indigenous Languages Development Act, and based on which, the Foundation is established
