Research Project (Updated in 2022)

I. Project on Constructing Indigenous Language Corpus

• 2020 Achievement:

1. We collected 348 records across 9 indigenous peoples of various language materials.
2. We corrected 108 records across 8 indigenous peoples of various language materials, with more than 20 hours and 100,000 words of oral language materials.

• 2021 Year End Results

1. We collected 436 records across 7 indigenous peoples of various language materials.
2. We corrected 300 records across 7 indigenous peoples of various language materials, with more than 60 hours, and 200,000 words of oral language materials.
3. We completed the Indigenous Language Survey and Translation Practice Manual.
4. We conducted the “Project on Constructing Indigenous Language Corpus”

II. Indigenous Language Human Resource System

• 2020 Achievement

1. We revised the indigenous language human resource system and added 742 new profiles of intermediate, senior and superior specialist, and indigenous language promoters after the year of 2014, totally 4,926 profiles.
2. We piloted the specialist matching project and completed two cases (The Beauty and Praise of Altruists Foundation of America, and How Digital Creative Co., Ltd.) for the recommendation of translation and voiceover talents.

• 2021 Achievement:

1. We built an integrated database platform for indigenous language specialist, adding 497 new specialist profiles, totally 5,423 profiles.
2. We completed the Report on the Analysis of the Indigenous Language specialist Database (June 30, 2021).
3. We completed 20 specialist matching projects (Coca-Cola print ads, Finland Helsinki University, Ministry of Culture, National Museum of Taiwan History, Fulai Image Culture, colleges and universities, other marketing activities, etc.) for voiceovers, interpretation, teaching and committees.
